I am Doug Mitchell, and I started Ogletree Financial Services, LLC with my wife, Holly, back in 2005. I have actually been a life insurance agent for over 30 years. We decided to build the BestLifeQuote.com website to help explain important life insurance concepts, as well as provide quotes and help you purchase your life insurance the easy way.

We have both spent a lot of time in the life insurance industry. I started as a representative for Horace Mann Insurance Company in 1995, and then later worked for New York Life Insurance, focusing on business owners and their families. Holly began working as an office manager at her father’s New York Life insurance agency in 1985, while still in college.

We get a lot of satisfaction out of owning our own agency. We can serve clients across the United States, not just locally. We are also a general agent with access to over 30 life insurance carriers. My wife, Holly, and I both graduated from Auburn University. My degree is in finance, and Holly’s is in marketing. Our daughter, Connie, graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in marketing and now works in supply chain in Nashville, TN.

I earned my Chartered Life Underwriting (CLU) designation through the American College and have been a consistent Top of the Table member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of financial professionals. I also served as the president of the Auburn-Opelika Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for two years.

When we aren’t helping our clients, we enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, playing pickleball, fishing, and golf. We are sure to be seen on most Auburn Game Day Saturdays, tailgating at Jordan Hare Stadium. We are members of the First Presbyterian Church in Auburn, Alabama. Holly is an Elder, and we both enjoy helping out with the youth and college kids from time to time.
